Museum: Review of Unit
ACTFL Standards:
1.1 Communication: Students engage in conversations, provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions.

3.1 Connections: Students reinforce and further their knowledge of other disciplines through the foreign language. (visual arts)

Objectives:
1. TSWBAT identify different characteristics of artwork.
2. TSWBAT create opinions on different artwork.
3. TSWBAT use previous learned vocabulary to describe artwork.
4. TSWBAT use previous learned vocabulary to play a game.
Context and Rationale:
This lesson will be the last lesson for the unit and will be used a review. It is important for students to reflect on previous learned vocabulary and see how it fits together in order for it to have a lasting impact on their lives. After this lesson they will bring home all of their artwork in a portfolio and talk about the different words they learned with their parents to develop their language abilities beyond the school setting.

~Miniature Artwork for Bingo Prizes
Pre-Activity: Favorite Piece of Artwork (Standards: 1.2,3.1,5.1 Objectives: 1,2)
The students will be asked to bring back their favorite work of art from this unit and describe why it is their favorite using as much vocabulary in Spanish as possible. The students are encouraged to bring all of their artwork home to share with their parents how much Spanish they have learned from this unit.
During Activity: Art Museum (Standards: 1.1,1.2,3.1 Objectives: 1,2,3)
Tell the students that they will now be going to a Spanish art museum with artwork made during this unit and artwork from the artists form this unit. In groups of two they will fill out an evaluation form describing the artwork and their critique to the artwork for five of the works of art. The teacher will then bring the group back together and they will discuss what they liked or didn’t like from the museum.
Post-Activity: Arte Bingo Game (Standards: 1.2,3.1 Objective: 4)
The students will then play a bingo game called Arte which uses concepts from this lesson as a review. If the students win a bingo (or Arte) they will receive miniature pictures from famous artist learned from this lesson.
Assessment:
Students will be observed while describing artwork to see how much they have been retaining from this unit. They will also be observed during the partner and bingo activities to see how much Spanish they understand and what the teacher needs to do for the next Spanish unit.
Differentiation:
The students will have the chance to be able speak with a partner using vocabulary they have learned from the unit. They will be many visuals of artwork throughout this unit. They will be given the chance to walk around while at the museum and to discuss artwork using Spanish vocabulary.
